The 18th NAOTA conference hosted by the Chicago chapter was a great success. Associate Professor Ami Kudo of the Ohara School, gave an out- standing demonstration on the first day at the Morton Aboretum. A three day workshop conducted by Associate Professor Kudo followed. |

The Boston -Cambridge Conference was a great success. Our Headmaster, Hiroki Ohara, and his assistant, Professor Hirokazu Yokohigashi were otstanding. The Headmaster led us down some new paths that were rewarding and showed us there are no limits to the beauties of Ohara School Ikebana. |
April 1 - April 5, 2014 |
The 13th NAOTA Conference was held April 1 -- April 5, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. Minako Hayashida and Satsuki Palter, co-chairs hosted the outstanding conference. Associate Professor Hirokazu Yokohigashi and Assistant Professor Hozuki Oyamada were the instructor for the seminars. The final demonstration was given on Saturday, April 5th. |

The Delaware Chapter hosted a wonderful conference in Kings of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Assistant Professor Nishi from Ohara School, Japan led a wonderful workshop and gave a demonstration on the final day. |

Prof. Morishita and Assist. Prof. Nishi of the Ohara School, conducted an outstanding three day workshop at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. A demonstration, open to the public, was given by Prof. Morishita with the assistance of Prof. Nishi at the Cleveland Museum of Art. |

The Ottawa/Carlton chapter hosted the 7th NAOTA conference. We were honored that Headmistress Wakako Ohara was attending. Koji Kanamori, a professor, and Hiroyuki Kawakami, an assistant professor, led a three day workshop.

Nishi, Assistant Professor, of the Ohara School, conducted a three day workshop and gave the demonstration at the 8th NAOTA conference.
The conference was held in the South Carolina Botanical Gardens, which are located at the perimeter of attractive Clemson University. |
Aug. 29 - Sept. 2, 2011 |
The 10th annual NAOTA Conference held in Victoria B.C. was a resounding success. Lorian Roberts and the Study Group offered a wonderful conference for 50 NAOTA participants. During conference a workshop was given by Assist. Professor Nishi with the assistance of Grandmasters Kawamura and Shohara. All participants had strong challenges with unusual flower materials. After the workshops, Assist. Professor Nishi gave an exceptional demonstration. |

Northeren California Chapter had a two-day 50th anniversary celebration on first weekend of October.
Headmaster Hiroki Ohara sent a congratulatory message to the chapter and a certificate of Appreciation for Mrs. Fijimoto's 50 years of devotion to the chapter. All the members of the chapter received our congratulations for Ohara School of Ikebana and for NAOTA. |

The 9th NAOTA conference was held in Chicago. The conference Chair was Grandmaster Kazuko Ernst and the Assistant Chair was E-Ling Lou. Chief Executive Officer Wakako Ohara, Headmaster Hiroki Ohara, and Ms. Toshiko Tatsumi came from Japan to attend. Professor Kuniaki Seki led a three day workshop, with Assistant Professor Akihiro Nishi assisting. |

Ingrid Luders, 1st NAOTA president held a Teachers' Education Seminar at her studio in Hunting Valley, Ohio. This was something that Ingrid, a Grand Master in the Ohara School and a teacher of ikebana for nearly 40 years had long thought about. She always encourages her students who have attained a high master's degree to share their experience with others by preparing them to teach.
She also plans to offer another seminar in the future.
